We recently finished a comprehensive renovation of a charming four-story heritage home in Vancouver. The renovation's uniqueness lies in its design, which produced two separate suites within a single structure. This allows two generations of family to support one another while retaining their own private spaces. This represents a considerate and innovative approach for families to assist each other in Vancouver's competitive housing market. Studies show significant happiness stems from daily interactions between grandparents and grandchildren.  I can imagine these two wise mothers sharing a cup of tea and a meal together, in this warm and welcoming space.

Interestingly the design firm for this project, DNVS Design, is a mother-daughter team specializing in architectural and residential design. A perfect choice for this character home.

See the Transformation! This renovation of an Arthur Erickson West Vancouver Beach House began with concrete framing to accommodate a second-story addition and encompassed interior finishing along with landscaping, featuring a green roof.
